ThirstyBear Cycling's Joe Amon just won the biggest race of his life, against lymphoma. Join his team-mates in honoring his victory over cancer by raising $10K for the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

The team will raise the $10K by asking each team member to raise $200 from family and friends. 100% of these donations will go directly LiveStrong, the Lance Armstrong Foundation.  Either click the LiveStrong logo at right to go to the team’s fundraising site on the Lance Armstrong Foundation website, or click on the Facebook logo to fundraise there. Please inquire a team leader about printouts you can give out to co-workers, family, and friends!

Team members who raise $200 and donors who give $200 or more will receive a special edition Thirsty Bear Cycling bottle, socks and Live Strong bracelet. Those who raise $500 or more will receive the $200 incentive AND a ThirstyBear Cycling jersey, over $1,000 will receive the $500 incentive PLUS ThirstyBear bib shorts. Sweet!

Exclusively for team members, ThirstyBear cycling will host a small dinner at Barlata Restaurant in Oakland with special guest Jose Luis “Chechu” Rubiera, former and current team mate of Lance Armstrong from US Postal, Discovery, Astana and now RadioShack.  Seating no more than 14 patrons, this dinner will allow for great conversation with Chechu, veteran of 21 grand tour finishes including five Tour de France victories with Lance Armstrong.  More information about the dinner is available by emailing info@thirstybearcycling.com.
